Letter From the Chairman of The Ohio Plan

Monday, May 19, 2008

Jay Weiskircher, Chairman of The Ohio PlanDear Ohio Plan Members,

In my last letter I referenced The Ohio Plan’s 20th anniversary and the Board of Directors on-going commitment to continue to improve the many services and benefits available to our members. With that in mind, the Board is pleased to announce the launch of our updated website at www.ohioplan.org.

Over the past 20 years The Plan has grown to over 600 members. As many of you know, in 2007, in response to requests from many of our members frustrated with annual double-digit health insurance premium increases and limited benefit choices, the Ohio Plan Board of Directors approved the formation of The Ohio Plan Healthcare Consortium. With the creation of the Healthcare Consortium in August, 2007, it seemed only fitting to create a new website to showcase all that The Ohio Plan has to offer.

The new Ohio Plan website includes the latest information on the Property and Casualty Program, including Risk Management Services, The Ohio Plan Advantage, Current Financial Statements, and available Products and Services. The new site also provides applications and information on submitting reimbursement requests under The Ohio Plan Seminar/Education Reimbursement Program.

In addition, our updated website is highlighting the new Healthcare Consortium with information on the Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental and Vision Plans available through the Plan’s administrator, Medical Mutual of Ohio. Listings of hospital and doctor networks are available, as well as enrollment information for both employers and employees.

Throughout the coming months, we will continue to expand and enhance the website for the benefit of our members. Plans are underway for the creation of a “members only” area. This area will allow members of both the Property/Casualty and Healthcare programs to have access to material such as Risk Management sample procedures and checklists, as well as healthcare provider network information.

The Board of Directors and Plan Administrators continually strive to exceed your service expectations so your comments and suggestions on ways in which we can improve upon or expand our current offerings are very important to us. Please feel free to contact any Board member of the Plan Administrators if you have questions regarding either property and casualty or healthcare issues. We hope you enjoy and take full advantage of the information included on the new website.

 Sincerely,

Jay Weiskircher
Chairman
The Ohio Plan
