Seminar / Education Reimbursement Program

The Ohio Plan recognizes that there are many useful educational seminars on a variety of subjects available from outside sources.

One of the benefits The Ohio Plan offers is the reimbursement of qualified education training expenses (work, safety, and employment related). A member entity is eligible for reimbursement of tuition expenses up to a maximum amount of $300 annually.  There is no limit on the number of training opportunities that are reimbursable.

Here is how the program works:

  • A member must have paid for its employee(s) to attend a seminar.
  • Verification of the employee(s) attendance at the training seminar must be obtained. (Most training seminars provide a certification of attendance at the conclusion of the training)
  • Submit proof of payment and the certificate(s) of completion.

You may submit a reimbursement request for the tuition fee(s) for any seminar/training event for an individual(s).  Also, any seminar conducted by a qualified third party for a group of the member's employees that is held at your location may be eligible.
