The Board of Directors of the Ohio Plan Risk Management is proud to make available sample Personnel Policy and Procedure manuals as an added benefit to its members along with two free hours of employment related legal advice available in 2011.  The sample manuals were adapted from existing manuals in use by member entities and updated by employment attorneys.  The two hours of legal advice is available through the Ohio Plan’s independent legal counsel which has been hand selected for different areas of the state of Ohio.

Accessing this free service is easy.  By simply calling the Ohio Plan claim department (1-866-825-2467), you will be referred to the participating attorney in your area.  This attorney will advise you of an approximate amount of time it will take to handle your question.  It is important to note that payment for any services performed outside of the free two hours will be your responsibility and the relationship created is solely between your public entity and the law firm.
